There are three Villages on the board: Merkezi in the center, and Kopru and Yakinda near the corners.
When a dragon visits a village, they can buy up to one of each of the items that village has in stock, represented by the stock card placed on the village space. Each village's stock is pre-determined and changes depending on whether it's the first round, the final round, or the middle of the game. (In a three-round game, the second round uses the "middle of the game" cards. In a longer game, all but the first and last round use these cards. In a two-round game, only the first and last round stock cards are in play.)
All items cost 1 coin each except for extra movement cards. You can't hold more than one of the same item in your hoard, so if you already have an item when you visit a village, you can't buy another of the same item even if they are in stock. (This only applies to items in your Hoard. Treasure cards are not counted.)
Merkezi is the central village where players begin the game. When each player takes their first turn, they place their dragon on this space and may exchange some of their starting coins for items before they take their first movement.
