The Final Battle

At the end of the set number of rounds (usually 3), the player with the most Victory Points wins the game. If two or more players are tied for the most victory points, then the Final Battle decides the winner.

Final Roosting Bonus

Before the final battle begins, all players tied for the most victory points receive the bonus according to where they Roosted at the end of the final round (see Spaces.) No additional movement cards are dealt, and no fatigue is cleared (unless a player roosted on a Village or their element space.)

Determining Battle Order

If two players are tied for the most victory points, then those two players enter combat and the winner of that battle wins the game.

If there are more than two players tied, the battle order is determined by the number of unspent Blood Points from lowest to highest. The two players with the lowest point totals battle first. The loser of that battle is eliminated, and the winner moves on to battle the next-lowest player. Continue this cycle until there are only two players remaining, and that battle decides the game.

If two or more of the tied players also have the same number of blood points, those players roll one die each. The lowest number battles first.

The Final Combat

During the Final Battle, you use all of your remaining movement cards, combat items, and spells to defeat your opponent. This battle works differently than regular combat - instead of a counterattack phase, both players simply play all available combat items at once, and any items, magic tokens, or movement cards used during this battle can be kept and used against later opponents.

Keep your weapons! Items used during the Final Battle are NOT discarded. If you're moving on to another battle, you keep the same set of items, cards, and magic tokens to use in those later battles.
